Aberdeen is considered an Agrihood, which simply means it is a planned community that integrates agriculture into a residential neighborhood. Aberdeen’s farm will provide learning opportunities through education classes, opportunities to participate in growing and harvesting some of the produce, and a relaxing backdrop to your evening walks. The barn is another community hub anchoring the farm in its place and will feature a farm store, where residents can come purchase the fresh produce, along with an event space for the community.

Aberdeen plans to have 2 miles of nature trails, with a first phase already in. Take a walk over to the neighborhood garden or the site of the future community center, walking along the lakes. The trails extended into wooded common areas and over creeks. In a next phase of trails, the future dog park and wildflower gardens will be another destination along your hike.

Aberdeen’s Lakeside Park will feature a basketball court, tennis court, pickleball courts, and a playground. The sports courts will be sure to spur on some friendly competition for residents and their guests, while the playground will be a place of joy for all the littles ones. This will be located right across the street from the community center.

The community building plans to feature a coffee shop, fitness space, golf simulator, and covered gathering spaces. This will be one of the main hubs of the community, a place for families and individuals of all ages to retreat, connect, and make memories together. Aberdeen has a guardhouse with security cameras and a gated entry. The gates close from 10pm to 6am every night so that you and your family can sleep with peace of mind. Every resident is set to receive an entry code and car tags so that they can get in and out as needed while the gates are closed.

The future dog park is for all of those families with furry friends at Aberdeen. It plans to be set in one of the northern common areas, accessible to residents by the nature trail system. This will be a fenced in space where your dog(s) can run free and play on some specialized equipment.
